Harvey Smith is an Atlanta native and the son of an Atlanta builder/developer.  After graduating from Woodward Academy he attended Georgia Tech before graduating from Georgia Southwestern State University.  Upon graduation he worked for a leading Dunwoody home builder as construction manager until starting his own business in 1985 specializing in commercial remodeling, high end residential remodeling and custom home building.  In 1996 SmithCraft Homes was established focusing on quality construction of new homes.  Harvey has built over 250 homes in the Atlanta area ranging from $300,000 to $2,000,000.

Harvey is a Georgia state licensed contractor and a Certified Professional Home Builder.  He has been interviewed on local radio and television stations advising consumers about home building and remodeling.  He has also been an educational speaker for the National Home Builders Association of which he is a member, and he has served on the Board of Directors for the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association and also on the Executive Committee of the North Fulton Chapter of the GaHBA.  He was an award winning builder for the GaHBA’s 2002 Home Builders Expo in Lakeside at Ansley in Roswell. 

As an active member of the Roswell Rotary Club, Harvey served as its president from 2004-2005.  He and his wife Donna have three children.  Harvey enjoys playing tennis and golf and hunting in his spare time.
